Reward card fraud

my rewards cards wiped out from someone impersonating calling from ATT reward center and surprisingly they had all my information including address, phone number, reward card number and expiration date… except CVV number..
ATT customer service very poor, wasted my 2-3 hours and no solution.

I was feeling that someone from ATT itself is helping these scammers…. How can they have so much personal information……

I contacted everyone including the number you provided… all were keep forwarding my call from one person to another…. That s the reason I mentioned about your poor customer service which didn’t provide definitive solution and wasted my almost 3 hours on a working day

Same thing happened to me. Wasn’t out of place to get a confirmation call since I had requested someone notify me when my reward card would be sent. They knew exactly when I received my rewards card - (even knew about the virtual one I received and how much) wanted to confirm I received all of my rewards and listed them. One wasn’t on there. They said they would cancel the one sent to my address - knew my address and would then place the total on the other card I did have and only needed to confirm which card I did have by giving the last few numbers - that it. No cvv no PIN number …

I check right away it’s wiped out. Called the number att suggested - ha - told me too bad so sad, don’t answer calls from people claiming to be att. Yet I’ve had calls from att for awhile since I was setting up everything so it’s as not an odd thing for them to call.  Woman told me she’d transfer me to customer service to see if they could help and then the line disconnected me.

there is obviously a data breech and att isn’t protecting customers or making it right.
