com.apple.mobilephone error 1035 meaning?

It is ludicrous that I have to figure out how to fix this issue on my own. That being said, I have tried every option suggested in this forum and every other option found on the internet and STILL, the issue remains.  I won't even go into all the important business related calls I have missed.  I just want the matter resolved and I would like AT&T to take care of it.  I was on a chat with an agent for almost 1.5 hours and nothing worked.  Then I spent approximately 30 minutes on the phone with a "identified" supervisor and still the matter was not resolved.  I was finally directed to take the phone to the AT&T store where I made the purchase.  Oh Joy!,

I might add that I tried every option at least 20-25 times.

Please let me say "thank you" but your solution does not work.

I avoided the dreaded 1035 iphone error message when I made it slightly shorter.  

I also am having the same problem.  I try to record a new message and get:

error1035

please help.

I recently changed to a new provider - is that the problem?

I found the following solution worked for me. YMMV

1) Make sure your WiFi is off.

2) Record custom greeting

3) Hit Save

4) Get error 1035

5) Hit “OK”

6) Hit Save

I found that this worked for me, and I even changed my message again right away just to see if it would work again. 

I find it interesting that this is a problem with AT&T, but not my Verizon number. Both are iPhones running the latest update. I hope this simple solution works for you!

I had this issue too and had to call my phone number and set it up that way.  Hope it helps anyone getting the error.
