If you have iTunes on a Windows PC, you can go to add/remove programs, click on "change" next to iTunes, and it will give you an option to repair iTunes.

My thought is that may not properly fix the driver?

It can't hurt.  What else are you going to do?  Deleting and reloading iTunes is going to do the same thing, but you'll have the hassle of rebuilding your library.

Uninstalling iTunes will not touch the library.  It just gives you a clean slate for the program and drivers.

Dammit this happened to me this evening I kept getting
Device unrecognised something about the USB being corrupt

I uninstalled iTunes and re-downloaded again and it was fine
Here's me assuming my USB port had buggered up :]

Btw I'm taking sometime next week to visit apple
My line prob happened again if u all remember
I had these - - instead of numbers displaying on my
Usage and Standby !

Hoping to visit Birmingham next Friday so I'm hoping
Apple can give me some explanation into why my phone
Is needing to be restored every few weeks cos of these lines
To get it showing digits again!!!

Wish me luck people *sigh*
