Hi, Thanks for your replies. Once I have miss placed my phone and put it in lost mode for a couple of days. That’s why they did not send me the confirmation email, I have created a case through att live chat and now my phone is unlocked.

Thank you!

If AT&T blocked the phone, then it was sold by and used on AT&T.  No way it got to Brazil legitimately.

Sorry, but if it was lost or stolen, then it’s correctly blacklisted.

Look the IMEI up in swappa to see what carrier originally sold and activated the phone.

I’m sure the FCC and ATT has a file for unfounded complaints.  We used to call it the ‘circular file’

Greetings @jjrapy!

Allow us to assist. If the phone wasn't properly released from a network, it's likely the device will remain locked to that carrier's network.

At this time, it's best to wait until the results from the escalation team.

We hope this info helps.

Hello, I like ATT iPhone, very much, but because I couldn't activate iPhone, with Internet locks a few days ago, now I'm here for help in the ATT forum and, if possible, try to help me officially unlock it.I tried to unlock the att self-locking channel myself, but prompted that my imei did not match the device description and hoped to get att's attention and reply.

@Constructive, Outstanding response and sincerely can't thank you enough for the amazing and detailed instructions.  I was getting passed off to multiple agents that simply could not assist on this one but have no doubt your detailed instructions will resolve this one for me once and for all.  I'll call in today or tomorrow and follow the process you outlined and report back so others are aware of the process and outcome.

Sincerely do appreciate the great response and support!

@MemphisChris11   A couple other things that have come up, and may apply to you:

1.  The phone was on a business account.   For some odd reason, the business can unlock it, but once off the account, they can’t seem to unlock it and it comes up as an unpaid device or ‘connected to another account’.   Devices purchased by business accounts never really are released.  I have no idea how it works.

2.   Older phones not on the system are being purged.  It makes sense for phones to be purged if they are really old and unsupported.  But it seems any phone not currently on the network is also unregistered.  I had read many that have iPhone 6 or 6s that had been in a drawer for a year, and are being told the IMEI isn’t an AT&T device, or that the phone has to be used for 60 days - neither is correct.

Hello AT&T customer care,

Last week, I tried to unlock my iphone...but unfortunately I submitted a wrong IMEI (I wrote the dual IMEI instead of the correct), I got an answer yesterday that it was denied as the Imei is not valid. I just noticed I submitted the wrong IMEI. Today, when I tried again it says I have to wait 14 days...I would really appreciate your help and guidance on how can I bypass those 14 days as I need to use my phone.

Very much appreciated.

Frank
