I hope you realize the insurance is provided by Asurion, not ATT and they are the insurance provider for all major carriers. If you switch carriers and get insurance, you'll find you have not switched insurance providers.

I don't think you can do it online. Rather than order a nano sim, take your new phone to an ATT corporate store and they'll provide a new nano sim for free and activate it with your number.

No. You don't lose your number unless your account is empty for more than 60 days.

Not sure why you're only seeing 2, I'm still seeing dozens of channels to stream.

@nanamom05 There is a one time cost for the Slingbox but no monthly fees and yes it requires an Internet connection.

You have some sort of technical issue, most likely a poorly aligned dish. You should not lose service just because of clouds. It takes very heavy rain to interrupt my service and usually when that happens it is only HD channels and I'm still able to tune SD channels.

I've got a Slingbox connected to my HR-24 and @shannon02 , it does stream in HD. I use it all the time when away from home to watch recordings from my DVR.

If you get the phone unlocked, it should.

Yes. Since the 4s takes a smaller SIM card than the 5, you need a new SIM card. Go to any ATT corporate store, they will provide the SIM card for free.

You do not trade in the phone if you have made all the payments. The phone is yours. Trading it in is an option if you want to upgrade before making all the payments and you can only trade in after a specific number of payments which varies for each Next plan.

@James_5 Your GoPhone will not work in the Philippines. GoPhone does not support international roaming except for Canada and Mexico and only with the $60 plan.

Calls to the Carribbean would pay international per minute rates. If you are asking can you take your GoPhone to the Carribbean and call, no. Your GoPhone won't work outside of th US. I'm not sure I understand our next question but you can refill your account anytime. It won't charge the $45 for the new month until the new month starts.

Right, if it was a Verizon phone originally it should be unlocked which makes me think the actual problem is the phone is not compatible with the Ukranian provider.

That depends on whether your plan supports hotspot or not. What hotspot app are you talking about? Most phones have hotspot as a built in feature of the phone.

You don't need a new SIM card. What you need is to get off the plan you share with your ex. If you are the account owner, she needs to get her own account and plan. If she is the account owner, you need to move your line to your own account and plan. Either way, that is done by doing a Transfer of Billing Responsibility on her or your line. More info on that here: https:/...

Your monthly bill should decrease by whatever your installment payment was. So if the only other charges on your bill are for access and service, then yes. However, if you have other charges such as insurance, they will still be there.

You don't have a wireless number since you are not an ATT customer but you don't need it. At the top of the unlock portal page, click "No" on the "Are you an AT&T wireless customer?" line. Just the make, model and imei of your phone is required.

@Mdeleon I highly advise you leave data roaming off and only turn it on when you want to use cellular data and then turn it off when done. If left on, your phone will use up what little passport data you get very quickly. You can still send regular SMS texts and MMS picture messages with data roaming off. I would also not bother with the passport app. It is only used to ...

Yes you can use your phone in Mexico but the cost depends on what plan you have. If you have the right plan, use in Mexico is covered by your plan with no additional charges. What plan do you have?

That depends on which Next plan you picked. Upgrade points are 12 or 24 months. There used to be a Next plan that allowed upgrades after 18 months but that seems to have been discontinued. You can upgrade now by making additional payments to your upgrade point.

Adding someone to your account definitely should not cause you to lose your unlimited data plan. However, I'm guessing you have the grandfathered unlimited data and Family Talk plan. You can not add your boyfriend to that plan, he will have to pick a mobile share plan. In other words you will have two different plans on your account. Regarding changing the account owner y...
