Hi @usudhakar

We have seen this before. The account holder has to removed the phone from the account. There is nothing we can do to assist you as you are not the account holder. I moved your thread to our unlock article.

Hi @onemadperson

I have moved your post to our unlock thread. Because the phone as not met the requirements as mentioned in this article, we are not able to unlock the device. You will find some troubleshooting steps here that may help with the signal.

@rajeev6487 Have you put in an unlock request at https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/?#/ ? Did you send the private message as requested? If your iPhone SE is a prepaid phone, it won’t be unlocked until it has been used on ATT for 6 months, no exceptions.

Purchased an AT&T prepaid plan phone. Have traveled around the U.S. using this phone with no problem. We are now in an area of the country where there is poor AT&T service. Incoming and outgoing calls drop all the time. Due to not being able to use the phone we have requested AT&T to unlock the phone so we can go to another carrier that has service where we are staying. AT&T will not unlock the phone because we have not had the phone for six (6) months. Why would we want to keep a carrier that does not provide complete service where we are?  It's not our fault. Surely AT&T knows of this problem area and has not taken steps to correct it. We held up our terms of the agreement, but AT&T hasn't. There must be a consumer group a person can contact to help rectify this problem with AT&T. This is another case of big business bullying the consumer.

Every prepiad phone comes comes with a package attached to or inside with the SIM card and tells you you have to use the phone for a minimum service period because it’s a subsidized, prepaid phone.

All prepaid carriers do this.  Most carriers lock for 12 months.  ATT locks for 6 months of paid use.    Read the inserts.

Fill in in the spot for non customer.

If the phone was activated on prepaid it has to complete 6 months of paid service.
