High speed Internet?
I've had basic Internet with AT&T for 14 years. I just changed to Uverse Internet. Supposedly twice the speed. Video is mostly still choppy, out of sync with sound, sometimes video and ad play at the same time.

Are you paying for a higher speed than on old DSL? Know from most users if they have 3M Internet on old ASDL, they'll probably have 3M Uverse Internet. Those phone reps telling you it'll be twice as fast are liers.

Thanks, I'm using a hard wired ethernet connection. I keep my system squeaky clean - clear browsers, pups, many tracking cookies, etc. regularly.
According to the order confirmation email that I got, this is U-verse High Speed Internet Elite. I was told multiple times that it should be running at 6 Mbps.
I am the only person using this connection with one computer.

This is now almost to the point of being dysfuntional. It was *never* this bad on the old 1.5 - 3.0 Mbps plan that I had.
