AT&T ADDRESS BOOK

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,

After the current AT&T ADDRESS BOOK is retired will, or is there already, another ADDRESS BOOK APP be made and installed to our phones? If not, would you suggest an alternate ADDRESS BOOK APP? Just curious.

They are getting rid of it because Apple & Android services are better and AT and T can better utilize those resources used for address book, somewhere else.

Apple users have iCloud and Android users have google (I think) that better service the customers than AT and T's address book.

It's NOT a service you pay for. So if it's free why would you need a bill reduction if it was a curtesy service to begin with?

They are getting rid of it because Apple & Android can do it better, iCloud for Apple smartphones & google (I think) for androids has the same back up service. So they are getting rid of address book because they can better utilize those resources elsewhere.

So I just switched phones had all my contacts on AT&T Address book now its not a service.

Is there a way to access the AT&T address book old data?

Hi there @fmx520!

This is a great point, and I am delighted you inquired on this particular question. As of now, the Address Book is retiring in phases. This means, we had setup a ladder of sorts phasing out the Address Book service based on the make and model of your phone.

The last day for the feature to finally sunset is going to be May 30, 2017. The Web site will be shut down once the service for the final device is complete. You can log into your online address book here to obtain your old data until then.
