I bought an iphone XS Max 512 gb  from a third party person it was at&t carrier it wasnt unlocked i was ware of that. After i paid the person the cash they reported the iphone stolen and blacklisted imei i checked the imei before it was clean now im screwed up because person dissapered and left me in the ditch and when you call at&t they will not give a helping you all they tell you im sorry but only the owner of that account has the power to help. but they dont reailse the person is gone and riped me off. 

 Its not my fault men i was honest buyer and i dont deserve this to happen to me so im begging you guys to resolve this so i can be able to use this phone,

my imei : [edited for privacy-please do not post personal or unique information such as but not limited to full names, employee ID numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, etc.]

Wont happen.  Hope you got info for police.  Makes no sense to report after transaction.  Sorry noone but att can help, they already told you no,  sorry!

Dont ask me it doesnt make sense i know that but why at&t wont do nothing about my situation before i bought the imei was clean now its blacklisted. Why Why at&t ????????

Maybe att has seen this before and it was fraud all around, just guessing.  Go to the police.

@Korgpa500  bottom line is you bought a stolen iphone and it will never work unless the original owner removes it. its like buying a stolen  car and going to the DMV and getting mad at the dmv for not warning you before you bought it then blaming the dmv because you were ripped off. you said yourself it was clean imei before you bought it and the person that sold it to you reported it and then disappeared  so how was at&t to know where the phone was specifically located?all they know is the original owner claimed it was stolen and thats all they need.

I bought a used phone from amazon and says it was legally sold so hopefully it’s not a problem but I never used at&t and will like to unlock to a different carrier but I don’t have a SIM card and I don’t have time to go in store is there customer support that can help me?

I’ve tried this and it says my imei doesn’t match any system in there data base which is why I’m worried this phone may have been stolen.
