Hello! I bought the phone on ebey, namely my iphone 6: IMEI 354408066180131. seller page, it was stated that "AT & T Unlocked" It turned out that the phone does not work with my phone operator since I live outside the US, please help! I am ready to provide all necessary documents.
When you try to unlock the site writes ": Your device is currently active on another AT & T customer's account."

I recently bought a phone online and was told it was unlocked. When i received it it didn't work so i contacted the seller and he said it was still with AT&T so i got an AT&T sim card and it still is locked and says i need to connect to iTunes which I've done and my computer doesn't read it. I was wondering what i could do to get my phone to open and be unlocked so i can use it as my ipod and travel phone.

I live in Kenya and was visiting the U.S. for two months, so bought a GoPhone SIM card to use in my already unlocked iphone 4. During our visit, my iphone 4 died and I was no longer able to use it, so my cousin gave me his iphone 5s that he was no longer using. So, I used the GoPhone SIM card in it for the last month that we were in the U.S. When I returned to Kenya recently and tried to use my Kenyan SIM card in the phone, it didn't allow me. I tried submitting the unlock request through the AT&T website, but it won't allow me to submit the request. Please help.

Hi there @zetelight!

Welcome to the Community Forums! I can understand the importance of utilizing an unlocked device, especially if you need services for daily activities. Let’s get started on resolving this issue!

Were you able to follow these iPhone unlock instructions regarding final unlock follow up? For iPhone devices, sometimes you may have to redo the backup and restore process. But you can always double check them out here, the link for unlock instructions is included.

Please let us know if even after final unlock instructions, you were able to use the phone on your new SIM card. We are always here for you. Have a great rest of your day!

I need sOmeone to unlock my iPhone 7. I bought it with a go phone plan in September now I want to unlock it. I paid for it in Full and it's following FCC rules. I've submitted an unlocking request with no response.

Hello! I purchased three phones in Best Buy stores . I came home to Russia and tried to insert the SIM card of the Russian operator, but the phone was locked to AT&T I tried using your website to unlock these phones, but the operation failed: Your unlock request was denied because the IMEI number doesn't match a device that's compatible with the AT&T network. How can this be? I have receipts for the phone and I ordered a GSX report the results of which you can see that they blocked AT&T:

IMEI *****
Serial: *****
Activated Yes
Refurbished by Apple No
Telephone Technical Support Expired
Repairs and Service Coverage Active
Find My iPhone ON
Warranty Start Date 30.09.2016
Warranty End Date 29.09.2017
Country:United States
Sold by:BEST BUY
Intial carrier:US AT&T Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands Activation Policyan example of one of the three phones.

Here are three IMEI numbers of the three phones and the number of queries for unlocking it. all three came the refusal to unlock. although I have a gsx checks and reports that it is blocked on AT&T!

I
MEI:*****
Request number: *****

IMEI:*****
Request number: *****

IMEI:*****
Request number: [edited for privacy-please do not post personal or unique information such as but not limited to full names, employee ID numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, etc.]

Please help in unlocking my phone.

@Dwaters91 If you paid full price for that phone, you'll need to contact AT&T at 611 for an exception. Phones get locked for 6 months when they get placed on GoPhone service.

Good morning @joseborges,

I am sorry you didn’t receive an email regarding the status of your existing device unlock request. I would love to help work towards a resolution with you!

The only way to receive another email is to submit another request online if the first one was not successful. You can also check the status of your device unlock request anytime. Just provide the IMEI and request number.

If you received an email stating your device was successfully unlocked, all you will need to do next is complete a backup and restore via iTunes or insert a non AT&T SIM card to finish the unlock process.

I hope these suggestions help out and you’re able to unlock your iPhone 4 without any problems! Have an awesome rest of your week!

Greetings @donandroid,

It’s a pleasure to have you reaching out to us about unlocking your device on our Community Forums. Also, the pictures you included are wonderful in helping us get to the bottom of this issue! Thank you very much; it’ll be fantastic getting to work with you on this!

Based off of the second picture you sent, I do see where it says, “Unfortunately, your unlock request was denied because: Your device is currently active on another AT&T customer’s account.” Because of this, it means the device you purchased was not successfully removed from the previous owners account.

The best thing to do is to have the original owner of the phone submit online at our Device Unlock portal. Since it’s still currently active on their account, the request would need their information to be successfully processed and completed.

I hope this helps to answer any questions you may have had. If any others come up, feel free to let us know. We are always happy to help! Have a wonderful week.
