My S9 recently stopped notifying me when texts are sent.

Checked notification sound settings are turned on still no Tone when text messages received.

Hello @RadarRob,


We'd love to see why your sound isn't working properly when you receive a text. We understand you've already checked the notification settings. Here's another option you can try: Go to your message app > Click on the three dots in top right corner > Settings > NotificationsNew messages > Importance > Choose either "high" or "urgent".


Also, do you have any security applications downloaded to your device? Certain security apps block notifications. If you do, please by sure to adjust the settings so that your notifications aren't blocked. We look forward to hearing back from you!
