Android Blu A270a WiFi alerts driving me crazy

This is driving me crazy. When I'm riding down the street, the WiFi Network Available alert goes off every time it detects a signal. I've searched through the phone and I can't find a way to turn this off. Any suggestions?

I’d be happy to help! I’m afraid the only way to prevent notifications of an available WiFi network would be to disable WiFi on the device. When enabled, it is constantly searching for available networks to connect to, causing these notifications when a network is found.
