Port forwarding when personal router is behind the AT&T router

I have a personal (Linksys) home router behind the 2wire 3801HGV gateway/router. I am trying to set up port forwarding for devices that are connected to the personal router. I have done this often with just the personal router, but recently just moved to Uverse. Has anyone done this successfully?

See the following post for instructions to set up your own router using the DMZPlus feature:

http://forums.att.com/t5/Residential-Gateway/U-verse-for-BUSINESS-2Wire-3600HGV-bridge-mode-or-another-AT-amp/m-p/2707755#M182

Once your router is set up using DMZPlus, you can then configure port forwarding on your personal router just like you always have.
