How to put 2Wire i3812v into bridge mode?
I want to put my i3812v into bridge mode to allow for my Airport Extreme full control of the network.
Is there a way to put it into full bridge mode so that I don't have to build two subnets using the DMZPlus workaround?

Yes, that is correct.
Also see the following post for instructions to set up your own router using the DMZPlus feature:

Airport will dish out IP's on it's subnet and everything else will get an ip from the i3812 subnet allocation.
All STB's are attached to i3812v via coax
i38H is connected to i3812
Airport Express is connected to the i38H
