I have been combing through configuration pages to see if we can setup "static routes" on nvg589 that would allow it to know about the other subnets downstream. Setup would be something similar in idea to this page... where router1 is the NVG589 and the other routers have their wan ports plugged into the lan ports on the NVG589. No solution as of yet in the NVG589 configu...

I have successfully set this up with my NVG589 configured to Passthrough to my Buffalo router running Tomato Shibby version. My iPhone running Uverse app that allows me to control my STB boxes no longer works. How do I configure my Tomato router on its own VLAN to talk to the NVG589 VLAN so my Uverse app can talk to my STB for control?

Can you post a pic of the 6L NID? Tech installed NID and replaced iNID equipment with NVG589 using existing wiring. All seems good. .

Current setup - Each room has a coax connected to our existing uverse STB that goes back into Central Cabinet - There is a coax splitter in the Central Media Cabinet - The one coax from the media cabinet goes to the iNID on the side of the house - There is a cat5e from the media cabinet to the iNID on the side of the house I was hoping to have the NVG589 installed in our ...

Thanks... Contacted Uverse, they did a line test, and will be dispatching someone to my house tomorrow. Is there any prep I should do to make the diag and possible conversion to NVG589 more seamless? If possible I would like to retain my homerun'd coax to the stbs.

What is the best way to get a senior Prem tech to assess my situation and make the best recommendation to resolve our connection challenges?

I'm still trying to understand why move from dedicated coax to cat5 for existing STBs. I currently have a Leviton Structured media center that houses all the wiring homerun'd, ATT router, ATT wireless unit for single wireless stb, and Ooma hub. 2 coax & 2 cat5e run from my SMC to the existing iNID on the side of the house.

Thanks... At the time of the original install I had homerun'd new 2-coax & 2-cat5e to each room. The installer elected to use the coax at each of the 3 locations.

So they would replace the iNid they installed on the outside of our house with a different model? Why would they need to change from coax to cat5 for all the tv run's (is there something negative about the original coax implementation? I currently have 3 tv's using coax off the holland splitter & 1 wireless stb.

Does the following picture I made depict what I should expect based on your explanation?

What should one expect when a tech comes to change setup from iNid (External box on house + internal box inside house with battery unit) ? Do they normally keep the iNid outside, bypass it in some way, and then install the NVG589 inside the house? Also, I have coax distributing to all my STB boxes so how might that be rewired? Thanks

How do I get a NVG589 to get my problem solved with the current iNid? Also, what has to be rewired to go from my current iNid setup to the NVG589? Current setup has box on side of house where demarc comes in and then unit inside house with monster battery backup unit attached on shelf? Thanks
