If your PC is hardwired it can get up there (assuming it has a 1gbps network card).

Hi @texasez,
With the gigabit speed, it can vary depending on many factors, but it does maintain a high speed. If you do have any speed issues, here is a great article that goes over how to improve it.

This post is just FWIW maybe it might be of some help to someone. I have gigabit fiber to my home here in the Bay Area CA. It is not with AT&T. Do have U-verse TV Am using a regional ISP called sonic.net As far as what is normal gigabit speed my thought on that is I am not sure there is a normal speed I pretty much test out at anywhere from 750 to about 940 MBPS depending upon the server and location of the server I will at times test to three different testing sites Sonic.net, Speed Test. net and Mega Path and to several different cities and servers. All that being said I do find that the speed factor also depends on the time of day the load factor and whether the equiptment is built to take the speed and hard wired Ethernet or wireless. I only have one computer duel band 2.4 and 5 GHZ that will take the speed and it runs the speed I mentioned but it must be hard wired to get the speed wireless is about half the speed or less. everything else is only 2.4 and will not get the speed they are older and not built for that speed hard wired or wireless. Cell run at about 400 MBPS the service has been very stable over the year I have been with this provider. I guess what I am trying to that I don't think there is a normal speed it all depends on who what when and where.
