Were customers notified in advance about the administrative fee?

Were customers notified in advance that there was a 65% increase in the administrative fee (to defray certain expenses ATT incurs) this month?

...no, the justification would be why those costs are not already included in the price advertised to consumers. Why are the Administrative Fee costs separate from and in addition to the advertised price?

Is there any answer that would satisfy you?

why does the cable company have a RSN fee that goes up every year or how about a local broadcast fee that goes up each year...  See where I am going its common practice and the FCC and FTC don't care...  They have done nothing about under the line fees period.

There you go again, claiming that if others do something, it makes it right. "It's common practice" is not a defense, its an admission of guilt.

Actually, if the FTC and FCC saying don't care, that kind of does say it's "right." At the very least, it's not "wrong."

Re: Administrative fee

Is there any answer that would satisfy you?

The truth would be nice. Honesty would be nice. Fixing what can be construed as an illegal practice would be nice.

Why are the Administrative Fee costs separate from and in addition to the advertised price?

What is "the truth?" How will you know it's "the truth?"

What is "the truth?" How will you know it's "the truth?"

The truth is not a shill's obvious obfuscating response such as, "What is 'the truth?' 'How will you know it's 'the truth?'"

The truth would be the correct answer to "Why are the Administrative Fee costs separate from and in addition to the advertised price?"

Because that's how AT&T has chosen to build its price structure.

Oh for gosh sakes... they want to cover cost and still show a profit.  Maybe the math is easier this way.  WHO CARES!   All the carriers bottomed out and are now on the way back up.

You don’t have to pay it, just pay off your phones and move to a prepaid carrier.

Ok. That is a truthful answer. You are stating it was AT&T's choice to bill in a deceptive manner. So let's just make this clear.

Charging an "Administration Fee", which is separate from and in addition to the advertised plan price, is a deceptive practice aimed at charging consumers more than what was agreed upon. You have provided no reason why the Administrative Fee can not be included as part of the advertised plan price.

Just like I thought, you only want to hear that its "deceptive," so much so that you twisted my answer to conform to this opinion.
