AT&T Dispute submitted / No response

Would appreciate any HELP from anyone including AT&T support.  I upgraded (1 of 4) lines under my Family Plan to iPhone 13 Pro.  AT&T did not send Fed/X box for the return of the 256 Gb iPhone 10 I upgraded for several months - despite two reminder calls I made; got the box;  send the phone in;  was told full credit OK;  credit of higher payments made;  wait 2 billing cycles;  then downhill… full year… AT&T now says it will not honor the original upgrade offer;  filed a dispute;  dispute delivered to AT&T in dispute office;  no response… WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT?  Please HELP.  THANK YOU.

Tell us a little late now to tell you that once the 30 days goes by you should not trade in your phone. 🙁

The trade-in process is through a third party called hyla Mobile in Tennessee if your phone is not postmarked as being mailed within the 30 days as required, you have not kept up your end of the bargain, despite all of the foul-ups on AT&T's end in getting packaging to you.

You could have ordered the packaging online yourself and had it mailed to you.

'AT&T trade-in program' website tells you how to do that. Tells you what code to put into your trade-in Packaging so that you get your monthly bill credits.

Good luck with your dispute maybe AT&T will decide to provide some credit over and above the book value they probably gave you

Thank you for taking the time to Reply. Much appreciated.  Just a retired old man - who did not know this requirement of AT&T upgrade offer.  As a matter of fact, two separate AT&T Representatives indicated in separate follow up calls that I will be given full credit and I will be refunded for over payments (as I have auto-pay) just need to wait for 2 billing cycles… so 4 months added on top…

Thank You, again!

(If my situation was repetitive, there would have been Fraud & Harassment & other legal actions, I imagine… !!!  WoW an American giant business - resorting to cheat a long time loyal customer like this…).  WoW

But if you filed the dispute according to the process, they have to respond to it, even if you are in the wrong.

We want to look into this for you, MalirHalt. Let's meet in a Direct Message (DM) to discuss that device you sent in.

Please check your Direct Message Inbox for a message being sent to you. Look for the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the Forums page.

When it comes to returning your trade-in, as @formerlyknownas already shared, can order the shipping supplies online at AT&T Trade-in Program. It's possible to find these details and other helpful tips under Important FAQs when you visit How to return your trade-in to AT&T - Information and Help from the AT&T Community.

Be sure to watch for that message from us in your DM. We want to get you a definite resolution into your experience.

AT&T may have many flaws, but this is not one of them:

AT&T publishes online for anyone to read every single detail involved in their phone promotions. All the requirements, the list of phones eligible for trade in everything...like these samples

This reply is to both ) Ivanwrongman and Formerlyknownas ).  I think you both.  The fact that you took the time to try to HELP me is sincerely appreciated.

Out of 4 lines I have in my Family Plan, I had successfully upgraded 2 lines.  It is the 3rd line that did not work for me - as I made bad a assumption…I just waited & waited - knowing AT&T system would eventually catch up (meanwhile - no Rep ever told me I have passed the 30 days limit;   go home;  don’t call back;  instead they did what I had experienced a number of times at AT&T over 4+ decades in the past…. we apologize;  we will make this right; etc.  Anyhow, will see… I have AT&T broadband and my experience has been 100% opposite of what I am facing on the wireless side…

THANK YOU both again.

AT&T (Rep - Lar) contacted me Feb 5 on their DM and then a call to me.  V polite and professional call.  He said he will write an internal email to followup.  After that, he will contact me in a couple of days.  Awaiting that followup.  (Feb 9.  Thanks.)

If you don't get the email response soon then file a complaint with the BBB. Those will go straight to Corporate and someone from the Office of the President will contact you and they MAY be able to help. Have any and all documentation you have ready.

Thanks OttoPylot.  Will do - only if Lar from AT&T does not get back to me in a few more days.  He sounded very sincere and wanted to resolve this…

(Will research on how to contact BBB and followup on my AT&T written dispute submission… if you happen to have a BBB link I could use,  I will hugely appreciate that!!)

 Thanks again.
