This is mostly a customer populated forum not how you reach AT&T

I have a daughter who started at our local AT & T call center. She,was told
she would be allowed to get 2 days off in October to be in her cousins
wedding, which has been planned for over a year. Back in August, she had to
have emergency gallbladder surgery bc her gallbladder was very sick! She
of,course had to have time off to recover. The day of her surgery she was
on the phone giving them my email address to send papers the Dr needed to
fill out!! A week and one day later, even though she called EVERYDAY with
the email, she finally received it. So it was your, companies fault we could
not get paperwork to Dr in a timely matter to get it,completed! It had to
be done by today and of course we cannot force the office and Dr to get
papers done! So, because of this, your, company took away the 2 days in
October! She NEEDS to be in the wedding, as alot of money, time, and
preparation has been put into it! It is not right for my niece for her to
have to have her cousin back out at last minute!!! Please call me at *** or email me asap!!!!!!
Thank you!!!

Wow. You just ignored my previous post didn’t you. This is not AT&T

Repeat.    NOT AT&T

You are anonymous here, and no one is going to call you based on a forum post.

This is a customer populated forum about cell phones. If you read your 2nd post they redacted all the personal information which you never should’ve posted in the first place.

I do have a couple of things to say about a grown woman who is mommy wants to get in touch with human resources to rescue her from a situation with her job.   It seems to me your daughter asked to make a choice between her job and this wedding.

Excuse me, I am a grown woman! I have attempted and tried several times to
reach the HR Dept of your company, thank you very much! The last email
that I received was an email that told me to hit the reply button to
discuss further information, which in fact I did! I do not want to cause
trouble for anyone, but this whole this is ridiculous, and I would
appreciate if someone who is in any control could contact me ASAP! I DO NOT
MEAN TO CAUSE ANY BAD REPUTATION TO YOUR COMPANY, I just want answers as to
why things are happening the way they are! Yes, it is a wedding, but it is
my nieces wedding that my daughter was asked to be in over a year ago!!!!
But there would not be any issues if your company Sedgwick would have sent
the papers the VERY DAY of my daughter's surgey, instead of a week later!
The plan was for me to print paperwork out day of surgey, give them to the
Dr who performed surgery and all would be taken care of!!! It is NOT JUST A
WEDDING!!!!!! IT IS HER VERY CLOSE, SHE GREW UP WITH COUSINS WEDDING!!! And
yes I am a mom, who will do what it takes to make things right for my
daughter! The company gave her enough grieve to deal with on top of having
a VERY SICK gallbladder surgery! Yes, I am upset! ( not the word I want to
use, but it will do.......) Who ever sent me this smart you know what
email!!!! I DID what it told me to do, but reply and send!!!! Thank you so
so very much!

No one here sent you an email. You got a notification from the forum because the thread you started got a reply. When you hit reply, you posted another response on this thread. This is a customer to customer forum, your reply was from another customer. No one here can help you contact Human Resources and I doubt customer support can help you either. You contacting Human Resources is a waste of time anyway. Your daughter’s issue is between her and her supervisor.

@Karen07

NOT my company.  The emails are NOT from AT&T they are auto generated notifications from the community forum.  Please read the content (wow, you sure didn’t last time)

This is NOT AT&T

We do not work here.

NOT “OUR” company other than we are present and/or former customers.

Your DAUGHTER is a grown woman.

She has to deal with this herself - land your helicopter and back off.

Lordy, you’ll get her fired for having her mommy fight her battles for her.

😳🚁

holy moley

@Karen07, is the call center actually AT&T or a contractor? Many call centers, even in the US are outsourced, so this might not be an At&T issue at all.

If if she is an AT&T employee, she’s probably in a union. Get the union reps involved. They can help make sure the FMLA paperwork gets filed and that the absence is removed from the record.

If she’s an AT&T employee, she can still probably skip two days of work without Being on formal discipline.

@MicCheck  Is there usually a probationary period?  Usually they can wash you out in the first 3 months for no reason at all.

@lizdance40, it’s been almost 15 years since I started, but I think you’re right.
