Windows Media 6.1 - Notification Tones -- Change to Only one Beep?

My wife and I both are running Windows Mobile 6.1 (hers on a BJ II, mine on an Epix). In any event, we have notifications for to do items and calendar items, which we both like. However, we want the notification sound to happen once, and once only. As it stands, we get the notification sound, and it keeps going intermittently seemingly forever, unless we are there to dismiss it. I'd rather leave the notification there, but hear the sound only once. is there a way to do this? This is the sound for calendar and task items. Thanks.
