Installing the Secure Family App

I'm having trouble setting up the secure family app... I am able to log in and select my phone number for parent level access, but when I get to "Add Family Members" to choose the lines I want to manage, I select my son's phone number and hit "Sign Up," but keep getting an error message: "Whoops, something went wrong. Please give it another try."  I keep getting this error message and am not sure what is going wrong.  Any advise on what I need to do?

Couple of steps which may help resolve your experience, @j_spiel!

Let's look into that for you. First, uninstall and reinstall the app then test the results. This action usually helps resolve similar unresponsive experiences with Secure Family as yours.

Second, AT&T Secure Family is capable of monitoring most AT&T phones. Here are several things to keep in mind:

  • Most AT&T smartphones under a postpaid wireless plan are supported.
  • AT&T PREPAID will be supported in the latest version (Android 10.9.2 and iOS parent 3.9.1 and iOS companion 1.9.1).
  • GoPhone service is not supported.

Reach back and let us know how this worked for you!
