Samsung S5 Sporadically Not Downloading MMS messages
My Samsung Galaxy S5 won't receive some MMS messages. I have made a few settings changes like turning off wifi, de-selecting auto retrieve messages but nothing helps. This also happened on my previous iphone 4S so not sure its a settings issue...

Turned off background data restrictions and now the MMS download fine.

When I switched my AT&T sim to a new ATT unlocked Galaxy S5 recently, I had the same problem with mms. Called AT&T support and even though AT&T's system recognized my new S5 in my account UI, the device type needed to be changed somewhere else in their system. Once that change was done and the APN settings were correct, MMS worked perfectly fine.
