The note 8 is a top tier device that is still almost the top of its class.  Some love the spen some hate it....  The v30 is light years behind the note 8 as the screen on the v30 is junk.....  The pixel 2 xl may have these problems also.  Has yet to get reviewed to much to see.  The note 8 did have some problems before launch with the dual cameras but samsung worked that out.
