linkage between pac bell.net email and DSL

I have not been able to access my pac bell email account. I have reset my password multiple times. When I attempt to access my email via the web I get the following message

Not Found on Accelerator

Description: Your request on the specified host was not found. Check the location and try again.

When I have contacted customer service they have told me that my account has been suspended.

I also have (or maybe now it is had) DSL service with ATT. ATT announced they are discontinuing DSL service.

I believe my email account is associated with the DSL service. With ATT discontinuing the DSL service I am thinking it also disconnected my email account.

How do I move the email account from the DSL service to my land line service (which I have with ATT)?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried logging your email on yahoo.com?  That how I access my pacbell.net email.  I go to yahoo.com, click on email, and put my pacbell email in.  It takes me to another page and  I put my email and password in.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, have tried to log in via yahoo.com. I put in my pacbell email address in and it responds by asking for an eight character code that it has sent to my pacbell email (which I, obviously, can't get to).

We're happy to help you access your email account rothm.

You can begin, by clearing the cache and cookies on your device, which will help clear all unnecessary information:

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Tap the 3-dot menu at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select Settings, then Privacy.
  4. Tap Clear Browsing Data.
  5. Choose Browsing History, Cookies and Site Data, or Cached Images and Files.
  6. Select Clear Browsing Data. You’ll see a pop-up that lets you confirm your selection.

Your email account may also need to be re-synced, to do this you will need to reset your email password by following these steps:

  1. Go to att.com/myatt.
  2. Select Forgot password?
  3. Fill out the password info.
  4. Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts. If you choose a temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
  5. Create your new password.

Please reach back out, and let us know if this helps.

Have cleared the cache and reset the password. This does not fix the issue.

Hi, rothm.

Try to sign in using a different browser or on a different email client, such as Outlook, and let us know if you get the same error message. Use our guide for setting up email on a 3rd party platform.

Let us know how it went.

Logging in on different browsers (have used Safari, Chrome and Firefox, both natively and in incognito mode) and different email clients (both Apple Mail and Outlook) have the same results.

With browsers I get the following message

Not Found on Accelerator
Description: Your request on the specified host was not found. Check the location and try again.

With the different email clients there is a message saying they do not recognize that email/password combination.

Further information. Emails to my pac bell.net address are getting bounced back with a message saying that the addressee is unknown. So it looks like the issue is not with logging into the account as much as the account has been removed.

Next steps?

We're here to help you get your email access back, rothm. The "Not Found on Accelerator" simply means your email account is deactivated.

We'd like to invite you to Direct Message in order to authenticate you and get your email fixed.

Please keep an eye out for a notification in the upper right corner of the screen. We look forward to speaking with you.

I have the same exact problem that rothm reported:  My pacbell.net email suddenly stopped working yesterday (1/12/2023).  I've tried everything rothm was told to do.  Nothing has worked - I can't access my email on any device/any platform.  Emails sent to me are getting bounced back with a message saying the account has been deactivated.  How did I find out this was happening?  I was just hired by a state agency after months of looking for a job.  My new boss sent me some paperwork to fill out and received the deactivation message.  Makes a memorable first impression, doesn't it?

Can you PLEASE help me get my email back?  The full email address is: [email scrubbed]
