Att yahoo email spam filter

There is nothing in my settings that allows me to edit my spam filters either on the app or when I log into yahoo.com on either safari or chrome.  There’s no toolbar along the top when I log into mail on the website. I’ve been getting a lot of spam addressed to aol.com or yahoo.com email addresses that I don’t have. How do I fix this?

Hi @Motown54,

We understand that you're dealing with unwanted spam emails. Let's work together and fix it.

If you’re using Yahoo Mail through a web browser, you can manage your spam filters directly from there. Here’s how:

  1. Log in to your Yahoo Mail account.
  2. Click the Settings icon (gear) in the top-right corner.
  3. Choose More Settings.
  4. Select Filters from the left-hand menu.
  5. Click Add new filters on the right.
  6. Provide a Filter name and expand the condition you want to use below Set rules.

We have information on how to report and filter email spam. To remove spam from your inbox:

  1. Check the box to the left of the email message.
  2. In the email toolbar, select Spam.

You can also create filters to send particular emails to spam, a folder, or your inbox. You can also edit, delete, or prioritize filters.

  1. Select the gear and more settings.
  2. Choose Filters.
  3. Select Add to create a filter.
  4. Enter the conditions for your filter and then select Save.

You can also forward spam to us at abuse@att.net so we can investigate it further. Make sure you include the full header so we can find out exactly where it came from.

You'll also want to read through our guide on how to Protect yourself from email spam. It covers the main reasons people get spam and how you can avoid it.

If you’re receiving spam addressed to AOL or Yahoo email addresses that you don’t actually have, it’s possible that your email address has been spoofed or used maliciously. Unfortunately, there’s no direct way to prevent this, but marking such emails as spam will help improve the system’s accuracy over time.

Remember to regularly review your spam folder and adjust your filters as needed.

We hope these steps help and feel free to reach back out if you have any other questions or concerns.

This is what i get when i log in on the website. No gear icon. If I click on the 3 bars on the top left (or the globe on the app) I get this - there is no filters or more settings option.

I also constantly get the 205.2 error message when I try to login to ATT.  I appreciate any help you can provide.  Thanks, Karen

Thanks - I know how to mark individual emails as spam (although there is no tool bar as you can see).  My question is about modifying my filters to include the aol & yahoo.com addresses.  I don’t see a way to modify filters.  There is no gear icon as you can see.  When I get to settings the other way (2nd set of pictures) there aren’t any options to manage the filter.

I have reset my password many times & keep getting the 205.2 message when I try to sign on other devices.  Thanks
