How Do I Escalate A Property Damage Claim with AT&T, Sedgwick, and Mastec?

I submitted a claim for damage to my main water line resulting from AT&T's subcontractor, Mastec laying fiber lines. They refuse to accept responsibility and reimburse me for the cost to fix the water line. I regret ever signing up for their service because this has been a frustrating experience from start to finish.

Hey madars. We appreciate you reaching out about your property damage request, and we'll be happy to help you experience you've had.

You can check here for further information on our property damage claim process. To file a new claim, you'll need to call us at 1-800-288-2020 and let any agent know that you'd like to open a new claim against AT&T. They will ask you a series of questions related to the incident and provide you a submitted claim number once the claim is submitted.

If you've already got a claim number, then you'll need to go to http://sm.att.com/8aff5d85 and register as a new user using your submitted claim number. You can frequent the site for claim updates and also contact your Sedgwick adjuster.

Please reach back out if you have any further questions. Thanks for contacting the AT&T Community Forums.

@madars   Do not click the sm.att.com link ATTHelp Robert provided!  It does not go to Sedgwick and at least one security company has flagged it as malicious.

Is there any help with resolving a claim for property damage with AT&T? I am getting no response from Sedgwick and AT&T is claiming no liability. Sedgwick has told me to pay upfront for the damage AT&T caused. I consulted with a local law firm who told me I was absolutely not responsible for paying upfront for damage caused by AT&T and to file a small claims suit.  Is there anyone who can help????

@pneville and anyone else who has been dealing with this - it doesn't seem they care or will do anything about this. I've been dealing with a claim for 6 months now, I've sent evidence, recorded calls with them, and they still made an arbitrary decision (including lying about the reason why it was denied). If you are all as fed up as I am let's just set up a (Edited per community guidelines) (Edited per community guidelines). That should get their attention.

any luck? I have been trying to call them as well and they keep connecting me to direct tv for some reason. One time I got a hold of property damage claim department and they said their systems were down and to call back in 2-4 hours. Tried again and no luck. At&t claims is just a huge scam.

@ATTHelp Hey (Edited per community guidelines), who are we suppose to call to get reimbursed you promised us after making the necessary repairs? We have called the 1-800-288-2020 and no one can help. We have called 1-855-333-0836 and they don't ever give a call back. We have called 1-855-365-4976 and no luck. I have even emailed [email scrubbed] over 100 times and no one has emailed back. Are you guys playing a game with us or what?

I paid upfront for repairs in early March and started the process to file a claim soon after.  I got the runaround within ATT until I was finally directed to Sedgwick.  That started nearly 6 months ago.  Sedgwick sent my claim to a contractor, who replied saying they did not install the equipment that caused my damage. Somehow, Sedgwick closed my claim and overlooked the email from the contractor.  After I followed up, Sedgwick said they would reopen the claim and it's been 2.5 months that I can't get in touch with anyone. If I was this delayed paying my bill, ATT would have already disconnected my account. I'm also considering contacting an attorney.

Has anyone had any luck on their claim?

This may sound aggressive but I literally had to spam the Sedgwick email [email scrubbed] like 50-100 times until someone finally emailed me back. That got it resolved and had my repair costs reimbursement check mailed out that day.

It’s an absolute chore trying to get a hold of someone at Sedgewick but it’s possible. Calling 1-855-365-4976 during non-lunch hours may help. You may get the operator saying “no one is working” or something and automatically hang up. But keep trying.
