Cannot browse internet when Cisco Anyconnect (VPN) is active

I’ve been using the same router for over a year and used to connect to the vpn with no issues. I moved apartments and changed from internet 75 to 100, all while using the same router. I’m no longer able to browse the internet while connected to my vpn, causing me to have to disconnect everytime I want to send an email, browse a page, etc. anyone know how to fix this?

I think you misunderstood my issue. I can connect to my vpn, but when I am connected I cannot browse the internet, send emails, etc. I am only able to access the remote server. I need the ability to access my vpn and simultaneously use my internet browser and send emails.

I have Cisco AnyConnect as my workplace's VPN provider. I have a BGW210 router. Under Firewall -> NAT/Gaming, there's a Custom Services button. I created three entries - UDP 500, UDP 4500, and TCP 10000. I then restarted the device under Device -> Restart Device. After connecting to the VPN, Outlook's back and Chrome's back. Hooray.

For those of you who don't have the same router, Google how to set up Port Forwarding on your model.

For those of you who have a different VPN provider, Google what ports that VPN goes through. Be prepared to make multiple entries.
