AT&T Yahoo Email Account suspended

I have been receiving emails on my ATT.net account uneventfully.  This morning at 6:30 AM I was locked out of my account.  Below is the message I get.

"You no longer have access to your AT&T Yahoo! account m******h@att.net because your AT&T Yahoo! Internet services have been suspended. If you want to continue using your AT&T Yahoo! ID m******h@att.net, please call AT&T Customer Service to reactivate your AT&T Yahoo! service."

Can you help?

Hi @mehranh

There are several scenarios that can lead to your email acount being suspended. Do you have active Internet service at the moment? If so, are you caught up on your bill? We have some email troubleshooting information you should take a look at, as well as some tips on how to unlock your email.

Same message here.  Spent hours on the phone yesterday and no one at ATT seems to know what is going on?

I had the same problem this morning.  This appears to be related to the unmerging of Yahoo and AT&T email  accounts.  But when I try to log into my AT&T email account via the att.net website, it takes me to an AT&T/Yahoo web page.  If I enter my AT&T email address and password, I get the 'services suspended" message mentioned above.

The message (as below) seems to imply these accounts can be "reactivated" but after 6 hours of phone calls to ATT yesterday, no one seems to know how to do this?  I do have one very kind person who is working on an answer but no luck yet.  I really don't want to lost 12 years worth of emails without any warning that this account was being "suspended".  This was a FREE email account via Yahoo.  No other ATT accounts held.   The phone numbers listed also are not helpful as the computer phone tree does NOT have any options that fit this problem.

I'm desperate. I've been locked out of my email account for over a week. After 8 days and 11 different AT&T customer service reps, nobody can figure it out and they've told me to give up and make a new email account. I've had this account for almost 20 years and it has whole life in it. Here is how it went down and what has transpired in the last 8 days:

About 2 weeks ago I was locked out of my email account randomly. I assume someone tried to hack the account and it was locked. I reset the password and everything was fine. Then 2 days later, I was on another laptop and tried to log in - and that made it angry. It locked me out so I reset the password again. But the new password would not work. It would allow me to change the password and it would even say Congrats, You've Changed Your Password, Click Continue. So I'd click continue and it would direct me to the Yahoo login page and ask for my username - (my user name here) @ sbcglobal.net. I'd click Next and then it would ask for my password. I'd enter my new password and click Next, but then it would go back to asking for my username - it just cycles over and over and then locks me out. I've cleared the cache and  browsing history a million times. I made sure java and flash are up to date. I've tried two different laptops, tried both Chrome and IE. I've tried waiting 2 hours, 4 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours for any lockout timelines to expire but that isn't it. The reps will reset my password and text me the key, tell me it looks good on my end and I should be good...but it doesn't work. I've done that hundreds of times over the last 8 days. I've done it on att.net, att.com, yahoo.com.  The closest I got was on att.net - it actually allowed me to sign into my ATT account and said Hi Sabrina! But there was a red icon over the MAIL link, indicating it was not working. There are two MAIL links on the main AT&T page - one on the top right, and one in the left menu. The one on the top right has the red caution icon. When I click on the one on the left, it takes me to the Yahoo login screen and cycles over and over until it locks. So I think it is on the Yahoo side. At this moment, it allows me to log into att.com, att.net but just locked when I tried to log into the iphone app. It seems AT&T has given up on me and I don't know what to do. They said since I have a free account and no longer have any paid AT&T services that they won't help. But it's not my fault, I moved out to the country and AT&T doesn't service our area. Please someone help me get back into my email.
