@Simon3 Were you in an app? On the web? At CNN.com or MyFavoritePorn.com?

Do other people have easy access to your phone to have infected it?

This is likely ransomware, not a virus. See this Apple article for more info: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-8071

@sandblaster To me "ransomware" means you're locked out of your device.  If it's just a popup, then it's scam-ware...

On the web, I'm the only user on this phone

It happens to my iPad in safari once in a while.  It's adware on mine.

I find the only solution is closes safari, open settings, scroll down to safari, clear website history.

It wasn't me, I also got a notification on my phone last Saturday stating if I wasn't in Texas to change my iTunes password because someone was trying to login to my account so I changed that as well

I don't know about oficial tools, but  recently I was rescued from pop-ups on my I-pad by just several clicks macsecurity.net/view/161/
