Charged for phone covered by insurance
I had my phone over a year only owed $28 or something close to that I got water damage causing phone to have sound issues!! I used insurance for first time I was told all that was owed was the $28 plus $99 for insurance for new phone now I'm being charged over $580!!!!????? Plus the $99

This was sent through warranty, not insurance. It's not possible to go back and turn a warranty claim into insurance. Now there should not be any deductible charged whatsoever. Just the non-compliance fee for a damaged warranty return.

I sounds like it was sent to warranty, not insurance.
Depending on when you made an insurance claim the deductible is $112. Prior to 9/1 it was $99
If the phone was sent to warranty, you would be charged and sent a new phone. Dig out all the paperwork and send copies by forum message to @ATTMobilityCare for help sorting this out.
