Bill

Why is my bill already due if I haven't even had this plan for. Month yet?

Like most telecom services, you are billed a month in advance and the billing cycle for which you are billed is somewhat random (not really, but it usually seems that way).

For example, let's say you started your service with AT&T on March 20 (my birthday!), and AT&T decided your billing cycle is the 29th of one month to the 28th of the next.

Your first bill "printed" on March 29th and was for regular service from March 29 through April 28. Your bill is due 21 days (IIRC) after the bill date, which is April 19th. Therefore, your first bill is due almost exactly a month after service began. Also note the first bill will also have to include service from March 20 to March 28, so it will be higher than normal.
