The customer you are trying to reach isn't accepting calls at this time
Yesterday I was trying to call someone and kept getting a recording of the customer you are trying to reach is not accepting calls at this time. I see in the forum that this means blocked or non payment. Well I know its not for non-payment because I am on the account as well. So my question is...if my number was blocked would the person I was trying to call see the missed calls from me? Also if I was blocked would my texts go through? This has happened before and the person says its the phone that's acting funny. But then I was told by the person that they could see the missed calls and I never received a blocked message when my texts were sent.

@artymiss42 When I click the link it sent me to a pre-addressed page. Try using a different browser or computer.
To be clear: there is a line to add a username (additional) but above the line I can see it's already adressed to AT&T. I'll say the blank spot does visually overwhelm the prefilled name.

Yes, you can get a replacement SIM card on an ATT corporate store.

Assuming this message is being received because the customer has not paid the bill or the account is empty, is there any way to determine how much longer it will be before the number is revoked?
I moved back into an area where I used to live and was interested in getting my old number back. I have been calling my old number and getting this message for about 4 months now. I check every couple of days waiting for a disconnection message of some sort, but would like to have an idea as to when the number might become available and/or if perhaps it has reached the time when AT&T can pull the number and perhaps they will pull it so I can have it.

Even if the number is available, doesn't mean you will be offered that number if you get service again. You can try, but only business accounts can request numbers.

Well I'm an existing customer, and I was there customer when I changed the number so I am hoping they will accomodate me.
Still wondering if there is any way to determine if/when the number is set to be disconnected.

Hi,
I have been trying to reach my friend since one month and I get the message.
Is there any possibility that if the person has changed his mobile number, we get the same message? Or in such a case do we get a message something like "This number does not exist."

I'm currently having the same problem. Most people who call me get through, but one friend gets this message every time he tries to call me. He recently moved to CO and tried to call from his new landline and STILL!!!! got the same message. Also, I dropped off a piece of equipment to be fixed at a shop and never heard from them. Why? Because they tried to call me several times and got the "caller is not accepting calls" message. I only found this out because I inquired after a couple of weeks and they told me what happened. I don't have a "blocked" list. My email is set up. I have no idea why this is happening and apparently AT&T doesn't either. Unfortunately, I'm probably going to have to switch to another company or it's going to get to the point where nobody will be able to call/text me. I have had a cell phone account with AT&T for nearly 20 years and it looks like that's about to end.
