Recovering old cell phone records.

I called at&t wireless today to ask about recovering old phone records. The lady said if it was farther back that what is on the login usage page it has to be court ordered. But I saw something a while back that said I could get up to 5 years. If anyone can help I'm in a lot of need.  Thank you

Hi

This may be kind of crazy but i want access to my  wireless and all mobile phone records from april 2003 - march 2007.

From what i was informed, only the fed government can make such requests and even then its has to be validated as an investigation. There has to be a way and I am willing to go through whatever process necessary. Thanks.

AT&T has to keep 7 years of records, I understand they keep 10.  They do not keep 12 to 16 years back.

As a customer, you are entitled to your own records.  You can call and ask for your old bill reprints as far as 2009.  No usage is included in old reprints, only billing.

They aren’t required to and would have purged older than 10 years.

Hello and good morning @Mikednwy.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community Forums.  We try to facilitate your account needs, and I want to help you out with your request.

You can go online to view, and print previous bills up to 16 previous bills.  If you require reprints prior to what is available online; we will need to assist you with this.  I will be sending you a private message to your Forum’s Inbox, so I can help you with your request.  Keep an eye out for it.

Let us know us if you have further questions, or concerns with your account.  I wish you the best, and have a great weekend!

@GodsDescendant You can’t get what doesn’t exist. There is no way ATT has records back that far. Even if they did, as noted above it would only be the billing information, not the usage logs.

I’m having issues getting a copy of my phone call records. I am no longer a customer and can’t sign on. I have called customer service and they weren’t able to get them for me. I don’t know what else to do!

Call and ask for copies of your detailed bills for the time period you need. There's a charge for each one and as a former customer you might have to pay upfront.

I need to get my phone bills from mid-2019 to mid-2020. The two customer service reps I spoke with couldn't access bills farther back than 16 months (the same time range I can access online). What is the special process to access these bills? Thanks!

You ask for detailed reprints. They will cost you 5 dollars for each month.

Thank you Constructive! I asked for reprints, the two reps told me that it would cost $5, but then they said that the system was giving them an error message when they tried to go back beyond 16 months. This makes me think that there is some other tool (that front-line customer reps don't seem to know about) that needs to be used. Any ideas?
