How do I get the Phone that was lost in the mail canceled from my account?

I have been on the phone with AT&T customer service for 3 hours.  I was on the phone with a supervisor and the shipping company who said the order was lost. I can't get this order removed from my account.  Why is this especially since the device is lost?
