Nokia Lumina won't connect to Wifi

My Nokia Lumina 520 is texting and sending/accepting calls fine, but recently will NOT connect to any Wifi, not at home or anywhere else that has it. I've had it for three years with no issues. I have tried letting the battery run down and then recharging it, shutting it off and turning it back on several times. Sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn't. I don't have a lot of apps, I've cleared storage space, nothing is working. Please help!!!

I’m sorry to hear the Wi-Fi feature on your device is no longer working.
 
Are you able to toggle the Wi-Fi setting on/off with no issues?
 
Have you tried clearing your browser cache? (Launch browser > Menu > Settings > Delete History > Delete)
 
Did you try performing a hard reset? (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2749480/en-us)

Thank you for responding. Yes, I have tried all of those things and I called the help number for gophones. The attendant told me that it was a problem with my device and I would have to take it in. I just have to find time to do that now.
