LG Quantum - Camera "click" sound

Is there some way to turn off the camera "click" sound? Even if I mute my phone, the sound remains. Also find it highly frustrating that I can not save camera settings. Thanks.

You're sure LG is going to allow that? The issue has never been that WP7 wasn't capable of turning off the sound; it's that LG's policy has been to prevent it. LG confirmed this when I contacted them to complain.

yep, running Mango at the moment and I can turn it off with a simple check. of course, when official release comes out there is still a chance that LG disables this. we will see

They were all right you just have to do it in a long sequence, which made mine silent(SUCESS)!
WARNING: This will make it silent even when your volume is turned up.

To Bring up the MFG Application:

1. Bring up your phone dialer
2. Enter ##634#
3. When prompted for a password enter 277634#*#
4. This will unlock your MFG, In this you will find the registry

To Get to the Registry Setting from the MFG application:

1. Go to the 7th item called "Engineer Menu"
2. From there click on the 6th item called "Other Setting"
3. You will find "Edit Registry" the 5th one down

How to silent the click(From your Camera on a LF Quantum FOREVER:

7. Reboot phone and test.

1. Tap box under ROOT_PATH and select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
2. Tap box under SUB_PATH and put in Audio\StreamClass\Output\10
3. Tap box under KEY and put in ClassGain
4. Tap STRING box and change to DWORD
5. Tap Query and verify that it gives you an output result.
6. Put 0 in the input data field and hit Set.

Remember there is no take-back, personally I love the silence.

I did not figure this out, the people above did, I just put it in sequence.....
I hope this helps, but before you go know I do not know how to return the noise nor do I care.
