neighborhood canvassing

an AT&T employee came to our house and said his records indicated we have AT&T service. He wanted to know if we wanted to switch from U-Verse to DirecTV, and it would save us money. Is this legitimate? I have his first name and last initial and phone number. Can you verify if he is legitimate? Is this a regular AT&T practice to send field reps out to neighborhoods for this?

@grenatx1   Any in-home people are not ATT employees (3rd party co) and we consider them to be liars.  This may be possible, but they won't tell you the 2d yr in 2yr contract on DirecTV contract will be $30/40/50 higher/mo, you lose the big discount.

 

Only legit way to get ATT service is the phone, Internet  and authorized resellers; chat is useless and so are the ATT wireless stores. Smiley Surprised

Our 2 year contract for U-verse bundle is up in November. Since AT&T bought out DirecTV, doesn't everyone with AT&T that has U-verse now, going 2 have 2 switch 2 DirecTV eventually?
