Lost recordings

Electricity was cut for a few seconds and when restored all of my recordings were gone and not able to record . I get notice that says to make sure the TV receiver and DVR are connected to the network, but as far as I can see all is as it was before the electricity was off.Every thing has been reset but still NO CIGAR!!!
