Clarification on ATT debt Collection Agency report

My Wife and I have been a ATT customers since last 3 - 8 years...I had cancelled my att internet U-verse account when I moved to a different state in 2011 after making the last payment due. However there was a another bill reminder that I got and when checked with ATT customer folks, I was told that it was an error and it can be ignored, at that time(2011) since there are no dues. 

 

But now I see a debt collection agency report in my credit report coming through ATT out of nowhere. Wondering what's going on. Tried speaking to ATT customer service a couple of times with no luck and was re-directed to accounts department. Can someone from ATT accounts department check and let me know if there are any dues pending from my account (*****) ? It is very frustrating that ATT does this to its customers without warning. If this issue continues beyond this year then I will definitely switch both our accounts to a different provider.

@justkar4u  Contact ATT Customer Care on the link in my signature below,.

Send them a Private Message, on this link, and they should be able to give the help needed to solve your bill collector problems. They are available M-F 8am-11pm Eastern time (also around on weekends, FB Twitter Social Media Managers), response may take up to 2 business days.

This is not the regular CS/TS phone people, but the social media Community Specialists that know the people to contact to get things done and gone above and beyond for me. They can do more than any phone rep and stick w/it till it's done.

Include your name, account #, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on.

Check the blue PM envelope, upper right on every page, for their reply. Good luck 😉
