The box would have identified which version before you opened it. Once you boot the phone, it boots with At&t - or not. If it came with a SIM card for At&t.
At&t took its build numbers off the website, so no luck there.
Model numbers often end in ‘a’
Why do you think it’s locked?

Hello @haroldboring,
We'd be more than happy to take a closer look into your concerns. We'll need some more details in order for us to better assist you. Where did you purchase this device from? What kind of cell phone is this? Did you unlock this device after using it with a different carrier, or did you unlock it after using it with wireless service from AT&T? Please let us know. We look forward to hearing back from you.

If you actually bought an unlocked Samsung phone, it can’t lock to At&t. If it boots with At&t boot screen, it’s a locked At&t phone.

auto correct failed you. Not sure what tyavm is suppose to be. If you purchased an At&t version, it won’t convert to Verizon or sprint until after the next OS update, which would be 9 months away.

Greetings @haroldboring!
Allow us to assist. We advise that you try removing and reinserting your current carrier's SIM card or using another SIM card altogether as damaged or incorrect SIM card placement may be the cause of your current experience.
We hope this info helps.
