US WD MyCloud with Pace 5268AC router.

 I recently bought a WD my cloud back up. It will not communicate with my pace 5268 AC. If I plug the My Cloud directly into my laptop it communicates, when I Plug it into my router, the ethernet lights do not place. Reading online I saw that the pace router is not UPnP compatible.   Is there a workaround for this to work?

@FCCS_ret   The fix, is get a gigabit switch and plug the My Cloud into and then the switch into the RG ethernet port.  Seems to be working for most users w/this problem.  Good luck 😉

Unfortunately, the workaround is to add another router that does support DLNA®/UPnP® devices for streaming.

I had a similar situation with my Apple devices several years ago and was forced to add an Airport Extreme. In doing that I disabled WiFi on the 5268AC and connect the new router and my DVR via Ethernet cable.

Ok, I found a netgear 8 port switch, installed it and all is good now.  Thanks.

is there a way to do this without adding a second router or switch.

Here is the Uverse RG log entries:

info Jul 28 02:27:42

daemon: dhcp6d[1724]: unknown or unexpected DHCP6 option opt_20, len 0

@bkachmar

The 5268ac router doesn't support UPnP. You have to buy a UPnP router or switch to get your My Cloud device to function via the Pace 5268AC router.

I obtained a NetGearProSafe 5 port Gigabit switch, set it up as indicated here and it still does not work. Any other ideas?

Thanks!
