Adding a device
Currently, I have a prepaid plan with additional line that serves the best. We currently pay $70 for unlimited talk text and data.
I was looking to add an iPad to my current account so that I can use autopay and multi line discount for 3 go plan for $15 additional.
ATT refuses to let me do it. What is the holdup here? Do you not want new business?

Prepaid multiline accounts are for phones only. An iPad is a data only device, you can’t have a phone plan on it.

You can add an iPad on a separate data connect plan.
Q. Why wont AT&T do it your way? A. Because they don’t have to.

These are the COMMUNITY forums, they don't tell us why.
Realistically, they decide that up high and probably don't tell most of their 250,000 employees.

BK corporate doesn't likely tell the workers why they added Tacos or why they removed the Sourdough King either...
I miss my Sourdough King 😞
