Voice mail calls not showing up as missed or received calls

My pantech phone does not show caller id when someone leaves a voice mail. There is no record of the call as a missed call or received call. How can I find out the caller's number if the caller does not leave it in the message? This happens when I travel to areas with no coverage. When I get back into coverage I get the voicemail, but no details of the time or number of the call.

I can definitely help you out with finding details of a voicemail in your mailbox!

If you’re using Basic voicemail (when you press and hold the 1 key to dial your voicemail box) on your phone:

Press 1 to listen to your message
After you’ve listened to your message, press 5 to get envelope information such as when the message was sent, the number calling (if caller ID was not blocked), and the length of the message
