Random local number calling me
I have been receiving phone calls from local number (same area code) as missed calls, so I return the call. The other person always say they didn't call me first, have no idea who I am, etc. One instance even said her phone has been dead until now so there was no way for her to call me.
What is the deal? I don't want to have 10 blocked numbers.

Hi there! @Meghan.yoder thanks for posting your concerns. I’m sorry to hear you’re getting random calls. To avoid these, you’ll want to block the number either from the phone or by using AT&T Smart Limits.
For steps on blocking numbers from the phone, please click here select the device make and model, then click on Block unwanted calls on the device home tab.
