Hello yekri, welcome to the forum and thank you for posting!

Are you trying to use your hotspot on AT&T or a different network? MEP Lock is basically a subsidy, or network lock. From Sierra Wireless:

"An MEP code may be used to remove the lock, allowing SIM cards from any service provider to be used in the Sierra Wireless modem.
If you would like to use your GSM Sierra Wireless modem with a different service provider, you must obtain the Sierra Wireless modem’s MEP code from the service provider that sold you the Sierra Wireless modem."

Are you the original owner of the device?

Yes, I'm the original owner and have had it for over a year. I'd like to use device when I travel overseas. It sounds like there are unlock codes available, how do I get one?

why did you buy a device that was not for your service? Most companies will not unlock devices unless you are a customer. Return the device to amazon and get one that is not locked.
