Lg v10 bootloop

I bought my phone over a year ago and now it has this bootloop issue. I'm curious why AT&T is bringing up replacing the phone with a one year warranty when the issue was in the phones construction and is a well documented problem. I feel like AT&T should be going to bat for their loyal customers and this particular problem shouldn't even be under the warranty as it is a built in defect from the sounds of it. Now I have to leave the phone sit for hours just so I can try saving pictures onto photo/drive and I literally can do a folder then let it sit again. So not only is my upgrade 6+ months away but my warranty was up about 6 months ago. And going to school fulltime already takes up any extra cash I have let alone paying for a replacement phone that should never have had to be replaced within that 2 years.

Freeze the phone in a plastic bag. Then get your stuff after that call LG and complain they may do something
