3G/4G frequencies
I will be travelling to the United States (Florida) in May, and I want to bring my smartphone with me.
Could you please tell me the frequencies (bands) AT&T operates their 3G and 4G network?
Thanks.

3G: 850/1900MHz (bands 2, 5)
4G: 700/1700MHz (bands 4, 17), but may also be starting to utilize 1900MHz (band 2).

I have an iphone 5s European model A1457 GSM, which supports 4g:
1 (2100 MHz) 2 (1900 MHz) 3 (1800 MHz) 5 (850 MHz) 7 (2600 MHz) 8 (900 MHz) 20 (800 DD)
So, it does not support the 700/1700 MHz band.
However, the USA version op the iphone 5s does only support 700/2100 MHz band (not 1700 MHz).
We're going on holiday to Florida and I wondered my iphone 5s is sufficient to use 4g at all places in Florida?
Does AT&T support 2100 MHz through all Florida or are there places where only 700 MHz is provided?
Thanks!

Looking at the specs on your iPhone version, you should be able to access voice and data on 850 MHz (3G/UMTS) and 4G/HSPA+(1900) anywhere in Florida and the U.S.
Just to clarify, Band 4 LTE in the U.S. uses 2100 MHz on the downlink paired with 1700 MHz on the uplink. AT&T does not use 2100 MHz (stand alone frequency), 1800 MHz, or 900 MHz in the United States even though U.S. phones show those frequencies in the specs. That is a GSM standard (world phone)
AT&T is now using all bands (2,4,5,17) for their LTE deployment in many states. Band 17 (700 MHz)is the preffered LTE band but in areas where they don't have the spectrum, they are using 2&5 (1900 & 850). Band 4 is being used primarily in areas in addition to B17 to increase capacity in heavy populated areas. 4G LTE is not available in all areas of Florida so I would check the coverage map. Other than that it should work well....just make sure the setting is your phone is set correctly.

I actually contacted AT&T tech support, and this is what they told me:
LTE: B2/4/5/17 (5 and 17 is more relevant)
3G: Bands 2, 5 (850Mhz and 1900Mhz)
