HORRIBLE INTERNET CONNECTION! Constantly cutting out, so frustrating.

I live in Alabama and have really only two options for internet, East Alabama, which has a monoply on this area and ATT.  I can honestly say that with ATT i do not get what I pay for.  I am contantly gettting booted from the interenet, doesn't matter what time of day, morning, afternoon or in the middle of the night.  My computer is brand new so it can not possibly be that.  I wish we could get what we pay for, when are you guys going to upgrade this area to Uverse?  ATT has billions of dollars, so why not get it done.  DSL is so slow, witht he max speed at 5 gb.  That is a crawl compared to most other internet companies. What is the deal att?  Concerned customer.
