No GIF keyboard in Android 8 Oreo on Samsung Galaxy S8

I just updated my Samsung Galaxy S8 to Android 8.0 Oreo and can't find the GIF ability on the keyboard anywhere. All the other carriers have it and all the tech sites said the function will arrive on Android 8.0 Oreo. How come loyal AT&T customers can't get our GIF fix?

I totally agree! But you know what I'm beginning to like the gboard a heck of a lot better than the Samsung board. The microphone and everything is so much better it's unreal

I just like how the Samsung key board matches the theme you have installed,in the background.

Gboard is nice ,though but Samsungs keyboard should be better.

It's the principle of the thing. Why update an older and newer phone but not the S8? AT&T seems to lag WAY behind for updates and its getting really old. May be time to switch to Verizon after 20+ years with AT&T. I get a discount through work anyways. Cheaper and better? Win, win.

Yeah,I don't get it.Why doesnt AT&t release it already.Although, Gboard is probably better anyway.

-##I just noticed that we can still send GIFs better in text messages. As
prior, you can create GIFs from the smart select option. Before the Oreo
update, when you sent a text with these GIFs it would reject it if the file
was too big. Now when you send a GIF it will automatically decrease the
file size and framerates to make it fit.

So even though the GIF keyboard was disabled, the inner workings of the GIF
functionality remains in the update.

It was still super shady to have the GIF keyboard disabled.

I've got a galaxy S7, no gif keyboard with Oreo update.. I did try the Gboard but when I try sending gifs to my friends it says it's "Unable to attach. File not supported." I guess I'll be waiting for the next update
