Worst customer service and phones
I've called MANY times and can't seem to get anyone to care or even call back after they hang up on you 3 times. All I want is my pin # so as I can switch Carrier and bring my # with me. It seems like Att likes to bait and switch. I will definitely make sure the public knows how badly Att treats their customers as I work with the public. I was told I have to take the new phone that I received Saturday in the mail with a $35 card. I'm in a wheelchair as I have stated to a customer service person, I can't just get up and go to an att store. I'm searching for a new phone and carriers that meet my expectations, and it WON'T be Att.

what pin? your passcode of your account to switch over?
remember, its a security protocol not to give out security identifiers over the phone.
all companies, even if its not a network provider, arent giving out this kind of detail.
but it could be reset.

@csmith0595 This is NOT ATT and we don’t work for ATT. @graeco Is correct, ATT cannot tell you your PIN code, or even hint. You can ask them to reset it and they will send by text only. If you can’t get text, you are going to have to fix that problem with ATT first. Otherwise you can’t comtrol your account and can’t port your number.
These requirements are universal, so you have to know this for the next carrier too.
As for the phone mailed to you, the restock fee on returns is $45, which may be more than you paid.
Bait and switch is offering an expensive item at typical cost, then substituting a cheap one. Like you buy an iPhone for $650, but they send you a cheap android. Most people seem to invent their own definition.

This forum is comprised of regular customers to communicate with other customers to offer advice and share experiences same as any other user. This is a public forum Although there is a small team of customer care specialists that monitor the forums the sheer volume of posts are simply too many posts for these agents to respond to each one of them. The most effective way to get any issues resolved in the forums is to send them a private message directly with all pertinent information and wait for a response, or call 1-800-288-2020. Some of us are employees but we are here to represent the forum with our knowledge and do not represent AT&T with our responses.
